The Museum of the Confederacy and the Byrd Theatre Foundation proudly announce their 2nd Annual Civil War Cinema event, on November 21st from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the historic Byrd Theatre. Join them at 1:00 pm for a Champagne & Chocolate reception, followed by a presentation by author and UVA professor Dr. Gary Gallagher and a showing of the Jimmy Stewart classic, Shenandoah.

You can purchase tickets in advance at the Museum and Plan 9 Music’s Richmond location, or by clicking the link below. Tickets are $15 or $10 with a valid student ID. If you purchase tickets by 11/13 they will be mailed to you. Tickets purchased after 11/13 will be held for you at the door. All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit both the Museum of the Confederacy & the Byrd Theatre Foundation.

Dr. Gary Gallagher will be available to sign his latest book, Causes Won, Lost, and Forgotten: How Hollywood and Popular Art Shape What We Know about the Civil War during the reception. You will also be able to purchase Celebrating The Byrd Theatre, a book all about Richmond’s only movie palace.
